CeGaT Expands Long-Read Sequencing Capacity

April 16, 2025

CeGaT has expanded its long-read sequencing capacity by integrating a PacBio Revio system into its laboratory. The system enables sequencing of up to 40 human genomes per week — significantly increasing project throughput while maintaining CeGaT’s validated standards for high-accuracy long-read data (HiFi reads).

This enhanced setup increases our capacity for four established products:

  • HiFi Whole Genome Sequencing
Highly accurate, long-read coverage of the entire genome with excellent sensitivity for structural variants and hard-to-sequence regions.

  • HiFi Whole Genome Methylation Sequencing
Simultaneous detection of base modifications and genetic variation — without bisulfite treatment.
    Learn more
  • HiFi Panel Sequencing
Sequencing of predefined gene panels delivering manageable data volumes focused on regions of interest.
    Learn more
  • Full-Length 16S rRNA Sequencing
Accurate determination of microbial taxa through full-length sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene.

With the Revio system in place, CeGaT is equipped to meet increasing long-read sequencing demands. Our team combines cutting-edge technology with years of hands-on expertise to deliver reliable, high-accuracy results — even for complex research applications.
