Saskia Biskup, founder and managing director of CeGaT GmbH, has been named one of Germany’s 100 best innovators by The Handelsblatt. The daily newspaper honors her for her achievement in making genetic diagnostics available to patients. In addition, her commitment to cancer research and precision medicine has been recognized.

In October 2016, CeGaT was awarded the State Prize for young companies by the Baden-Württemberg regional government and the L-Bank.

In November 2015, CeGaT won the n-tv midsize business award “Hidden Champion” 2015 in the category for “Innovation”.

CeGaT’s innovative approach to tumor diagnostics has been recognized in April 2015 with the Industry Award 2015 in the category for “Biotechnology”.

CeGaT has been recognized as the ninth fastest growing company in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in the 2014 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Awards in December 2014.

CeGaT has won first place at the STEP Award in the category “Processes”. Managing Directors Dr. Dr. Saskia Biskup and Dr. Dirk Biskup accepted the award on December 2nd, 2014, at the ceremony during the Höchst Industrial Park in Frankfurt am Main.

CeGaT has been awarded second place in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Award business competition. On November 5th 2014, Managing Director Dr. Dirk Biskup accepted the award at the ceremony in the Hamburg Emporio Tower.

The winners must have an above-average growth rate over the last five financial years, as well as a proprietary technology. The award of second place recognizes CeGaT as the second-fastest growing company in Germany in 2014.

CeGaT has been awarded on October 16th 2014 the title “GründerChampions” for Baden-Württemberg and Germany in the KfW Bank Group 2014 business competition. Open to companies founded since 2009, the award recognizes the implementation of particularly innovative and creative business ideas, environmental responsibility, and the creation and maintenance of jobs and training positions.

CeGaT won the national title and prize money of 10,000 Euros by impressing the jury, which included representatives from politics, business, national development agencies, and chambers of commerce, with CeGaT’s unique and powerful Diagnostic Panel.

CeGaT received the first prize in the STEM*-enterprise competition for human resources development and hiring of women in the company at yesterday’s awarding ceremony of the State of Baden-Württemberg.

CeGaT’s Managing Director Dr. Dirk Biskup and Contributor Dr. Claudia Durand accepted the STEM-enterprise award at the House of Economy in Stuttgart from Commissioner of the State Government for SME and Crafts, Peter Hofelich. The prize went to the biotech company because of its strong promotion and support of women in STEM professions. For example, there are women represented in leadership positions, and approximately 70% of CeGaT’s employees are women. The majority of these women have a PhD in natural science in the fields of biology, biochemistry, or bioinformatics. The balance of work and family life is of high importance for CeGaT.

CeGaT was awarded “Service Provider of the Year 2014” on July 17th 2014 at the awarding ceremony of the State of Baden-Württemberg, winning the first prize in the category “Exemplary Service Innovation”. CeGaT was able to convince the jury with the Diagnostic Panels where patients with severe genetic diseases directly benefit from CeGaT’s services.

At the Services Forum in Stuttgart’s “House of Economy”, Managing Director Dr. Dirk Biskup accepted the 10,000 Euro prized award from Commissioner of the State Government for SME and Crafts, Peter Hofelich. In particular, the entire jury unanimously recognized CeGaT’s commitment to patients and their relatives.

Companies have been awarded every two years since 2002 in two categories: “Exemplary Service Innovation” and “Best Customer Service”. There were more than 50 other applicants next to CeGaT in the category of “Exemplary Service Innovation”.

The European Commission announced Saskia Biskup, Cofounder and Managing Director of CeGaT, as winner of the 2014 EU Prize for Women Innovators. The official celebration took place in Brussels on March 11th. The winners received their prizes from the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso at the opening ceremony of the Innovation Convention 2014, Europe’s premier innovation event. Saskia Biskup received the prize for achieving outstanding innovations and bringing them to market.

CeGaT was announced winner at the Ernst & Young competition “Entrepreneur of the Year 2013″ award in the category “Start-up” in September 2013. Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.

CeGaT is thrilled that it was awarded finalist (Top 3) in the Clarity Challenge together with its partner Genomatix.

For its Diagnostic Panels, CeGaT was selected to be one of the finalists of this year’s Innovation Prize, hosted by the Ministry of Economics of the State of Baden-Württemberg (Southwest Germany).

With a total growth of more than 3,200% in the last three years, CeGaT was awarded second place in the Rising Stars category of Deloitte’s Fast 50 competition. With this award, Deloitte honors the 50 fastest growing companies in Germany.

In September 2012, Ernst & Young has named CeGaT the best medium-sized business. After a multi-stage, strict selection of 300 nominated companies, 75 companies have made it into the finals of the competition. “The 75 finalists are characterized by particular innovation, thanks to the huge efforts of its qualified and highly motivated employees” says Wolfgang Glauner, project manager of the competition.

Saskia Biskup, Founder and Managing Director of CeGaT, was announced as one of “100 Women of Tomorrow”, as part of the program “Germany – Country of Ideas”.

CeGaT is nominated as one of the finalists for one of the most prestigious awards for young and innovative companies. We are very proud to be among the finalists for the STEP Award 2011, presented by Hoechst Infraserv and F.A.Z. Institute.

CeGaT is the “Best German Start-Up Company 2011″ and wins the most prestigious prize for entrepreneurs (Gründer) in Germany. The well-known Gründer Prize is promoted by Stern, Sparkasse, Porsche, and ZDF.
